Backstory has been making amazing coffee since 2014 with great attention to detail. We've put this awesome coffee in a beer that matches its quality.
This smooth stout has characteristic roast, faint dark caramel, bittersweet chocolate, and loads of smooth coffee with nutty and chocolatey flavors. The base beer is an English/American hybrid. A single hop addition at the start of the boil balances the malt's sweetness, and the British ale yeast adds complexity.
For the best results, don't steep the coffee too hot. Let the wort cool to about 200°F before adding the coffee. This yeast strain can produce diacetyl, so let the beer rest a few extra days after fermentation to clean it up and get a great - tasting beer.”
